Virtual Exiles (2000)
Virtual Exiles is an artwork of digital photographs and an internet site that explores the experiences of individuals who have left their country of origin and who are now at ‘home’ in another. Kempadoo uses a combination of contemporary photographs taken in Guyana and England, digitally re-worked using specific historical photographs drawn from archives in Guyana and Europe.
